QUETTA: Some unidentified persons blew up two gas pipelines with explosive material in Dera Bugti that suspended the gas supply to Loi and Pir Koh gas plants.
According to details late on Monday night 8 inch gas pipeline that carries gas from well number 3 to Loi gas plant was exploded with explosive material and in a similar incident 16 inch diameter gas pipeline that takes gas from wells 28, 40 and 41 was also exploded by some unidentified people terminating the gas supply to Pir Koh gas plant.
Later the PPL administration started the repair work on damaged gas pipeline and the local administration is conducting preliminary investigations over the incidents.
While in provincial capital Quetta, some unidentified people hurled a hand grenade at a barbershop near Jail road Munno Jan Chowk that exploded with a huge bang at the roof of the shop smashing its mirrors, but failing to cause any loss of life.
After the incident the area gripped with panic and the police and bomb disposal squad also reached on the scene and cordoned of the area and filed a case against the unidentified persons.
