THOUGH it is not a secret that foreign forces are active in Balochistan for the attainment of their nefarious objectives yet the prestigious US Foreign Policy Magazine has come out with a report that Israel’s secret agency Mossad too is operating in Balochistan using US passports and its agents posing themselves as members of the CIA.
This is not a disclosure because in our view Mossad, in league with RAW and CIA has set up a network with the backing of a handful of dissidents to create instability in Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular.
Earlier various government functionaries and spokesmen have been talking of foreign involvement in the province. The almost daily acts of terrorism and killings in Balochistan cannot be the handiwork of a few misguided people and certainly there are foreign agencies that are providing them arms and ammunition and financial support. Some of the leaders of those on mountains have gone out of the country and they are being extended financial support by these agencies to enjoy the luxury and in return get their support. However we fail to understand why the government is on the defensive and reluctant to expose them. These agencies are certainly involved in kidnapping and killing of Baloch people to defame the Pakistani security forces and thus create a wide gulf. It is a question of Pakistan’s security and sovereignty and the government must act in a forthright manner and with firmness. When the US Magazine has come out with proof that Mossad is active in Balochistan we fail to understand why Pakistani authorities and media are shy of exposing them?
