However, Baloch nationalist parties are not satisfied with the process and are calling for an immediate release of all missing political workers.
QUETTA: The Balochistan home department has issued a list of 992 people of the province who have been ‘missing' for several years.
The department released to the media on Tuesday the names and other details of the missing people received from different quarters.
It announced in a statement that if relatives of the missing people wanted to provide any information they should contact officials concerned of the department so that the government could take steps for their early release.
According to sources, recovery of missing people in the province has begun after the announcement of the Balochistan Package.
About 25 people, including political activists, have returned home over the past week since a statement by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
However, Baloch nationalist parties are not satisfied with the process and are calling for an immediate release of all missing political workers.
They allege that despite the prime minister's announcement, ‘kidnapping-like arrests' of political activists continue in different areas of the province.
