He was going to hospital when armed assailants riding a motorbike ambushed him by opening fire aiming at his life. He received multiple bullet wounds and was taken to Divisional Headquarters Hospital by passersby.
Hospital sources confirmed that his condition was critical and was in the Operation Theatre where he was undergoing surgery. Subsequent reports coming from Khuzdar added that the critically injured Baloch student leader had been shifted to Karachi for emergency medical attention
