Statement of the Balochistan People’s Party on the Critical Present Conditions in Iran and the Region

The Islamic Republic of Iran, through entrenched structural corruption, systematic political repression, and destabilizing regional adventurism, has transformed the people’s wealth into poverty, and their lives and future into devastation, despair, and insecurity. The widespread and sustained uprisings of the people of Iran over the past forty-seven years, including the most recent movement that began at the start of the current month of Dey from the Tehran bazaar and culminated in the killing of tens of thousands and the injury of hundreds of thousands of enraged citizens in the streets of Tehran and other major cities, are the manifestation of accumulated popular demands for social freedoms and economic and political rights against the child-killing regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The cry of the Iranian people is a cry against corruption, against poverty, and against totalitarian despotism. Courageous young men and women were shot for “freedom.” Kurdish and Baloch koolbars (cross-border porters) and fuel carriers gave their lives for bread. Workers and labourers across Iran received prison sentences instead of sustenance. Responsible elites perished under torture.

The foreign policy of the terrorist system ruling Iran has likewise amounted to nothing more than the cultivation of proxy forces to construct a Safavid Shiite crescent, to instigate criminal massacres such as those of “October 7,” to sacrifice tens of thousands of Palestinians, and previously to facilitate the killing and displacement of hundreds of thousands of Syrians, as well as to plunge millions of Yemenis into catastrophe.

At present, following the loss of many of their criminal affiliates in targeted bombardments by the armed forces of Israel and the United States, the officials of the Islamic Republic have become so desperate and agitated that they have resorted to indiscriminate missile attacks against Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, among others.

It is as clear as daylight that such wounded serpents, if not decisively neutralized in the confrontation between the governments of Israel and the United States and themselves, will undoubtedly unleash their venom with even greater brutality than before. through ruthless massacres of those they deem the ultimate “others” within Iran, namely the Baloch, Kurds, Arabs, and other field opponents, in a manner unprecedented in the history of the Middle East. From this perspective, organized grassroots solidarity within each region, aimed at ensuring security and preventing impending chaos and instability, constitutes a vital necessity.

The Balochistan People’s Party(BPP) underscores the importance of sustained solidarity and the pursuit of the legitimate demands of the Baloch people under conditions of war, while simultaneously emphasizing, with heightened urgency, the responsibility of Baloch elites and diverse grassroots activists to safeguard their rights and security. Social unity must be regarded as the foremost strategic asset in times of instability. Strengthening local mutual-aid networks, fostering reciprocal support among families and civil institutions, and preserving social cohesion play a decisive role in enhancing societal resilience against external pressures.

At the same time, current conditions must not lead to the marginalization of fundamental demands. Empathetic solidarity among the peoples of Iran, particularly among those historically subjected to discrimination over the past century, including the Baloch, Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen, Lurs, Turks, and others, as well as solidarity with labour unions and professional associations of workers and wage earners, teachers, retirees, defrauded investors, and students, is a decisive necessity for a post Islamic Republic Iran. Such solidarity must aim at organizing and establishing a pluralistic, secular democratic federal republic.
